To the man with the face like mine

I used to wonder when you got home if you were going to take me places and buy me that polypocket dream house with the snap on closet

But then I grew up

I used to wonder if I played the game like you but smarter. Had my own blocks maybe I might run into you on a street corner

But then I grew up

I used to wonder why your name made people so angry. I used to why everyone admired my hopefulness

But then I grew up And I now KNOW And Without you

I'm beautiful

I'm smart

I'm strong

I'm fearless

I'm a woman

And I'm better
